1030 United St, Key West, FL
Bone Island Jiu Jitsu operates out of Key West’s 1030 United Street location as part of the broader Key West PAL Gym. The head jiu-jitsu coach, Eddy Aguiar, holds a first-degree black belt and competes in the IBJJF M2 black belt heavyweight division. Alongside him, coaches like Boyd Williams and Pablo Rodriguez, both black belts with over a decade of experience, lead the jiu-jitsu instruction. The gym emphasizes a mix of gi and no-gi training, reflecting a balanced approach to Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. Training at Bone Island covers a range of classes for different ages and skill levels. Adults can attend gi jiu-jitsu classes as well as combined no-gi and gi sessions. The schedule includes open mat times for extra drilling and sparring. Kids’ classes are well-established, including fundamental jiu-jitsu, competition preparation, wrestling, and boxing. This variety supports young athletes developing grappling, striking, and overall combat skills from an early age. Besides Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Bone Island offers boxing, kickboxing, wrestling, and mixed martial arts classes, each led by coaches with extensive backgrounds. This multi-discipline setup allows students to cross-train in striking and wrestling alongside their jiu-jitsu practice. The gym’s hours run weekdays from morning to evening with shorter hours on Saturdays, accommodating different schedules. Parking is available on site, and drop-in visitors can join many classes.
