Head coach Luan Breda, a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt with competitive experience across respected teams such as Gracie Barra and Checkmat, leads the academy. Since beginning BJJ in 2008 and continuing his training under Jackson Sousa, Luan has built Battlezone MMA as a space where students from beginners to competitors receive technical instruction and personalised coaching. The academy also benefits from a diverse coaching team including Raquel Santos, an IBJJF European Champion who heads the women’s BJJ programme, and Mehmet Maslak, a professional MMA fighter, ensuring a broad skillset is available to all members. Training at Battlezone covers a comprehensive range of disciplines and levels. The BJJ curriculum includes gi classes for all levels, from beginner fundamentals to advanced sessions, alongside no-gi and wrestling classes that sharpen grappling and positional control.
