Before opening the school, Krod competed in 36 professional MMA fights across organizations like Bellator and Strikeforce, earning titles and contending for others along the way. His background shapes the straightforward, no-nonsense approach to teaching here — no politics, no ego, just solid jiu jitsu instruction. Training at Asbury Park Jiu Jitsu begins with fundamentals classes that break down techniques slowly and clearly, making it accessible for people new to the sport.
