Americana Jiu Jitsu Collective was started to give Yucca Valley a place where both kids and adults could learn real martial arts in a supportive setting. The founders wanted to build a gym that focused on practical self-defense, discipline, and fitness, while making sure beginners felt comfortable stepping onto the mats for the first time. Their programs are designed to help students get stronger, more confident, and develop problem-solving skills that carry over into daily life. The academy offers a full Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu schedule, with gi and no-gi classes split by age groups. Young children can start in the Tiny Tigers program (ages 4–6), where both gi and no-gi options are available, while older kids (7–12) move into more structured BJJ classes. Teens and adults can train in both gi and no-gi, learning fundamentals and progressing to more advanced techniques as they develop. For those interested in competition or mixed martial arts, there’s an invite-only MMA and competition team. Americana Jiu Jitsu Collective also runs classes in wrestling, judo, and Muay Thai, making it possible for students to round out their grappling and striking skills under one roof. Judo is open to kids, teens, and adults, and wrestling is available for all ages. The gym holds regular open mats for members, and drop-ins are welcome for most classes. The facility is wheelchair accessible, and families often train together, with several programs designed to welcome absolute beginners and help them find their footing.
