A-Team was founded in 2008 by Master Ali Saleh, the first American black belt under Leandro Vieira and Team Checkmat. Master Ali’s teaching career began in 1997, and over the years he has developed a reputation for producing high-level competitors, especially among youth. The coaching staff includes Head Coach CJ Herrera, who has trained at A-Team since 2009 and leads both adult and kids classes, and Coach Angelo, a multiple-time gold medalist at major tournaments and the gym manager.
