340 Great Neck Rd, Great Neck, NY
A-Force Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Academy in Great Neck is owned by Andre “Tim” Monteiro, a fifth-degree black belt from Rio de Janeiro who earned his black belt in 2003. Monteiro’s competition résumé includes world and European medals, a No-Gi Pan American title, multiple superfight wins and an adult Pan American bronze medal, giving the academy a head-coach identity grounded in high-level competition. The school offers Brazilian Jiu Jitsu for adults and kids along with Muay Thai, and its instructors include black-belt competitors and professional MMA experience. Monteiro has taught in Brazil, Europe and the United States, bringing an international coaching background to a Long Island academy. For grapplers around Great Neck, Port Washington and northeast Queens, A-Force is most compelling when direct access to an experienced competitor-professor matters. Monteiro’s fifth-degree rank and long international teaching history give the school a much richer identity than a generic local martial arts academy.
