10th Planet Jiu Jitsu Chino Hills was founded on more than two decades of dedicated martial arts experience, with roots reaching back to the early 2000s. The head instructor began his path in 2000 under Ken Gabriel, one of the earliest American Brazilian Jiu Jitsu black belts, and went on to earn a 2nd Degree Black Belt in Gracie Jiu Jitsu under Pedro Sauer as well as a 1st Degree Black Belt in 10th Planet Jiu Jitsu under Jeremy Fields, a direct black belt under Eddie Bravo. The academy was built to share progressive, no-gi submission grappling with Chino Hills and surrounding areas, drawing on both traditional and modern approaches to Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. Training at 10th Planet Chino Hills centers around the innovative, no-gi curriculum developed by Eddie Bravo, with classes available for both adults and kids. The adult program focuses on the signature 10th Planet system, emphasizing creative submissions and positional control without the gi. Kids can start learning no-gi fundamentals in their own classes, designed to build confidence, athleticism, and practical self-defense skills from an early age. Open mat sessions are a regular part of the schedule, giving students a chance to experiment, roll, and refine techniques alongside teammates. The academy welcomes visitors and drop-ins, and offers parking on site for convenience. Students from Chino Hills, Chino, Pomona, Diamond Bar, Ontario, and beyond have found a home at this location, benefitting from a blend of technical lineage and forward-thinking instruction that stays true to the 10th Planet philosophy.
